Security
Locked on your device, before it goes anywhere
Every recording gets its own key, made on your device, and stays encrypted in storage and backups. What you record is yours, to keep, export or delete.
How recordings are protected
A key for every recording
Each recording is encrypted with its own random key (AES-256-GCM), made on your device before the first second leaves it.
Sealed, then stored
That key is sealed to our master key, and the master key is replaced every quarter, with every recording's key sealed again.
In the European Union
Recordings, notes and their backups are stored in Western Europe.
Backed up, twice
The database is backed up continuously, with a second copy kept apart.

Questions
Where is my data stored?
In Western Europe, in the European Union.
Who can open my recordings?
You, on your devices. Our servers open a recording only to transcribe it and write your notes; organization admins never can.
What happens to a recording I delete?
It's removed, with its audio and notes, from your devices and our storage, and leaves our backups as they roll over.
Do you offer a data processing agreement?
Write to us: a DPA and a security overview for companies are on the way.
